Claire Ruffin / Compagnie L'Insomnante
It is a series of insomnias, a series for insomniacs. Variations around the impossibility to lay down in a bed.
Sequences are too short, almost silent.
The physical language is being created from actual feelings related to insomnia (exhaustion, absence of mind, imprisonment, despair, drift, fall, suspension…) developed and repeated over and over.
On stage, there is a bed, a bunch of pillows, and a suspend ceiling of pillows.
There are 3 dwellers; an insomniac fighting her bed, a cello player and singer accompanies the drifter and a man above the ceiling regularly dropping items supposed to help sleeping.
The light is bright white
