Sarabande

Jörg Müller & Noémi Boutin

Tryptich rhythmed by the famous Bach Suites J.S, the number. 1, 3, and 5. In the first scene, Jörg Müller defies balance manipulating a burning candle placed at the top of a pole. The fragile and unsteady flame affirms its vitality despite its fragility.

Then, he flies several of his hanging tubes. We contemplate them spinning, brushing pass, living together without troubling the happy dance. Finally, it’s in the fifth suites which harmonies are so intense and so deep that the meeting comes up to his peak.

Now, it’s the musician who is suspended, her performing fragility exacerbated by aerial acrobatics that are infused by the juggler
